Opening Hours

Directions - Map

There is regular Tram service from the Munich Hauptbahnhof to the University. Exit at the stop: 'Hochschule München'

  • Tram 20 – in the direction of Moosach Bf.

  • Tram 21 – in the direction of Westfriedhof

  • Tram 29 – in the direction of Hochschule München

From the stop, it is a short walk to the library, which is located on the right-side of Lothstrasse, in building H and I. Please refer to the map. The library is located on Level 2.0

Bus: #153 Bus has service between the Ludwig-Maximilians University and Munich University of Applied Sciences

Welcome to the Library

Most of the print collection is located on open shelving and comprised of more than 100,000 print materials, approx. 2585 current periodicals, an extensive textbook collection, and a growing theses collection representing many of the campus departments.

Services:

  • complete collection of DIN Standards and VDI Guidelines - online version (In German Only) (It is not possible to print or photocopy in the library, but HM students and staff can print from home)
  • self-checkout terminals
  • printer/photocopier - Level 02, under the stairs
  • scanner - Level 03
  • Internet PCs with MS Office and other applications - only accessible with HM account login
  • automated book return - located outside of the building, on street-side of library, available 24 hrs.
